Insta360 has a new camera on the horizon, the latest in what has been something of a hot streak this year for the company. The new teaser image she just released depicts a landscape with swirling star trails in the sky above her head and features the phrase “inspired imagery,” possibly hinting at a connection to the astrophotography.

The teaser video, titled “Our Next Camera,” also features astrophotography and other low-light images, confirming that initial impression. Swirling stars, floating lanterns, a concert/party, nighttime amusement park rides, the Northern Lights, and dimly lit hallways are all displayed as you pass by. I’m always looking to up my low-light photo and video game, and gear that helps me capture astrophotography images is definitely appealing.

We also see in the video a modular device that appears to be the Insta360 One RS system being disassembled and reassembled with a mysterious new module. If so, it would add even more value to owners of One RS systems.

I’ve tested and reviewed the latest cameras from Insta360, including the One RS and the Sphere (a 360 aerial camera designed to be attached to a drone), and both have become key parts of my toolkit video content creation. These cameras have greatly expanded the product line of Insta360, which is now very diverse. Judging by the tantalizing new images revealed today, this product line is about to get even more enticing.

It’s hard to guess exactly what Insta360 is up to based on these photos, but luckily we only have to wait until 9am ET on June 28 to find out.
