Drone maker DJI has announced the launch of a new action camera that succeeds the original “DJI Action” camera. Well, the latest offering is probably dubbed “DJI Action 2”. Notable highlights of the camera include a 12MP sensor with support for 4K video recording at a frame rate of 120fps.

DJI Action 2 Camera Details

The DJI Action 2 camera comes with a lens that has a 155 degree field of view. There’s a custom aspherical lens that sharpens the edges and minimizes image distortion, the company adds. Other aspects of the action camera include slow motion video recording, Timelapse, Hyperlapse, and QuickClip to capture short videos and support live streaming.

It is touted that the DJI Action 2 camera was built with an interchangeable and adaptive magnetic design. With this design, it can accommodate a multitude of accessories for framing, monitoring and shooting.

In addition, the DJI Action 2 camera has a cube-shaped touchscreen. There is also a lightweight aluminum alloy body. The company’s latest action camera features a magnetic locking design that allows users to change accessories quickly and effortlessly.

In addition to these, the DJI Action 2 camera adorns a 1.76 inch OLED touchscreen and an additional OLED display that can be added with a front touchscreen module that can be attached to the bottom of the unit. camera.

DJI Action 2 camera price

The DJI Action 2 camera was released in two kit options, one being a battery expansion module called the Power Combo priced at $ 399 (around Rs 30,000). It extends the use of the action camera up to three hours. The second option uses a module that includes a front touchscreen priced at $ 519 (around Rs. 38,800). It extends battery life up to 160 minutes.

DJI’s new action camera has been unveiled in global markets, but its release date has yet to be set in India and other markets.
