CLEVELAND–(BUSINESS WIRE)–Medical device and technology company Lazurite today announced that its ArthroFree™ wireless camera system for minimally invasive surgery will be available for viewing and hands-on demonstration at the 2022 American College of Surgeons Clinical Congress, from 16 to October 20 in San Diego at Booth 1111.

The ArthroFree system is the first wireless surgical camera system to receive 510(k) clearance from the Food and Drug Administration for arthroscopy and general endoscopy. Laith M. Jazrawi, MD, performed the first-in-man surgery using the ArthroFree System in mid-September at NYU Langone Orthopedic Center.

“We look forward to presenting the ArthroFree wireless camera system for the first time at the American College of Surgeons Clinical Congress,” said Eugene Malinskiy, CEO and co-founder of Lazurite. “By eliminating conventional camera cables that connect the surgeon to the surgical tower, the ArthroFree system is expected to increase operating room efficiency and reduce costs for clients. Additionally, with its solid-state, low-heat, high-efficiency lighting technology, the system promises to eliminate camera-related patient burns and operating room fires. ArthroFree is a modular system designed to be compatible with existing patient data consoles, surgical displays and endoscopes found in minimally invasive operating rooms.
