Motorola is expected to release its flagship smartphone which could be called the Motorola Frontier, in the near future. Now, according to leaks, Motorola’s 2022 flagship could be powered by Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 Plus chipset and will come with SamsungIts ISOCELL HP1 200MP sensor.

According to images shared by a tipster, the upcoming Motorola Frontier will house a huge camera island on the back with a huge cutout for the main 200MP sensor. The 200MP HP1 sensor can come with OIS and an af/2.2 aperture. According to Samsung, the 200MP sensor can work as several different sensors thanks to the deep learning based remosaicing algorithm.

The 200MP Samsung HP1 sensor is capable of 2×2 pixel binning, resulting in 50MP resolution with an effective pixel size of 1.28µm. There is also a 4×4 binning mode with 16 sensor pixels used to create a large image pixel with the equivalent of 12.5MP resolution and 2.56µm pixels. The sensor is capable of shooting video up to 8K at 30 fps.

Motorola Frontier is also expected to pack a 6.67-inch curved pOLED display with support for a 144Hz refresh rate and a 60MP selfie camera. The device can be powered by Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 Plus chipset with up to 12GB of RAM and 128/256GB of storage. The device can be backed by a 4500 mAh battery. Motorola Frontier is expected to launch in July. It’s important to note that the company hasn’t confirmed anything at this point, so we’ll have to wait a bit longer to find out more.
