Bluetooth speakers have proven to be very convenient and versatile. We cannot live without these audio devices and we will only seek better ones as technology improves and new needs arise. We love these portables but they’re powerful enough to get a house party started.
The big brands have introduced products for both left and right audiophiles, but they can be very expensive. We know that some startups have introduced new speakers that deliver great audio experience in unique forms. Last on our radar is Project RUM. No, it’s not the kind that can get you drunk. This is the genre that will make you more in love with music or dance to your heart’s content.
Designers: Studio Rume
The RUM project is a Bluetooth suspended speaker concept with a 360 degree surveillance camera. It is a combo-gadget that offers a number of conveniences apart from audio playback. Business owners will probably love this because of the unobtrusive feature. People will think it’s just a speaker, but they don’t know it’s also a camera.
There is the issue of privacy, but most establishments really should have security cameras. Unfortunately, some customers get scared when they see too many cameras, so it’s best to choose something that isn’t very obvious. The RUM seems to be friendlier and won’t scare them away. It’s not that people don’t want it because they’re going to commit a crime, it’s just that they don’t want prying eyes when they’re shopping or eating.
The RUM Project offers several functions but it also serves as a backdrop. It can be placed next to ceiling suspensions. It solves the problem of connection and cables by hiding what needs to be hidden. It’s also easy to control using a dedicated remote so streaming is continuous when needed.
The Bluetooth Speaker/Security Camera offers a clean aesthetic as the design and materials can match any interior. There is a 3D camera module under the speaker module. It looks like another smart speaker, but this one doesn’t “respond” and do things for you. What it can do is play your favorite music.
